WILD ALASKA

Say hello to our friends from Alaska.... AWESOME.....these guys where hanging out at the Alaskan Wildlife Refuge Centre just outside of Whittier.

I did some work in photo shop to get these cool effects. Still learning photo shop so the effects are real basic, but I think they look cool. I love it... The bears look great too. The one above is my favourate because he just looks confused. Like he's thinking, 'what the.....' hehehehe

We took so many pictures of these guys on the day....

We took this picture when we were at the side of the road for a pee break... Next thing you know there's a fricken BEAR fishing for salmon.... AWESOME..

ALASKA

The Dalton Highway otherwise known as 'Haul Road' we took the road all the way up to Deadhorse and then onto Prudoe Bay on a massive road trip from Fairbanks.. Wicked scenery and wildlife along the way. The road takes no prisoners, it was built to serve the Alaskan Pipeline, so no rental cars should be taken on the road..

THE LAST FRONTIER - ALASKA - NOBODY WALKS IN AMERICA.... SERIOUSLY NOBODY

If you don't have a car in the beautiful Alaskan city of Anchorage and you go walking to find a car rental place, there's a good chance you'll end up here the bar, getting asked for ID, before you can ever find the car rental place, because it is fricken 300 miles away, and it only just hit you in the face, that Alaska is one big fcuk off place... :-)

There is no walking, in the US, seriously nobody walks, when we asked for directions to the car rental place the lady responded, "you're walking there???" hahahha gold.... we said "yes, yes we are". hahahaha....
                         

The bar has free wireless and a bottomless pit of coffee refills, below and to the left is my fifth cup... my hands are shaking so bad it's not even funny.......
                           

Screw the car, where just gonna get drunk... hahaha

                                    

One of the best beers ever the Alaskan Amber... Smoooth....

Alaskan road trip started today, drove up from Anchorage and are here now in  Talkeetna, Alaska. At the foot hills of America's largest peak,  Mt. McKinley. 6000+ m of mountain and can't see a mm of it.. It's raining here, the storm came quick, we were using wireless in the park before these glacial rains came and rained on our picnic... booooo.

So, where else can we go, in Talkeetna when it rains... THE PUB.. The WEST RIB PUB...

And now for the piece de restance... I look up to the ceiling after settling down with and Alaskan Ale, and god bless it, OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE OI OI OI....
Where everywhere... and yes the Japanese are here too..

PROBABLY NOT... BUT MAN AWESOME CITY TO VISIT... NON-STOP ACTION AND DRAMA... THE CITY THAT DOESN'T SLEEP DEFINITELY, BUT WE PROBABLY TOOK MORE NAPS HERE THAN ANYWHERE ELSE (THANKS JESS) AND IT'S ALSO THE CITY WHERE WE ATE THE MOST AMOUNT OF TAKE OUT FOOD AT (LOVING IT, CASHING IN ALL MY TAKE OUT CREDIT).... AMAZING CITY... DEFINITELY DESERVES IT'S PLACE AS A MUST SEE PLACE BEFORE YOU DIE....

Told ya..... hahaha.. NYC Cab ride... Yes, the taxi driver was Pakistani.... We spoke about cricket...

       
Uptown baby, Uptown baby - NYC is so cool, you're either goin uptown or downtown... that's it... and then you have busses that take you cross town... the city is like a big grid, it's like playing 'battleship'. it's awesome....

   
I'm in NYC, you know I'm finding a court.. this was great played ball with black people and we won.. this guy hit like 10 shots in a row... unbelievable... i like to think i held my own.. hehehe considering I'm from OZ. Final Stats, 1 from 1, 1 block, 4 points, 1 back board slap and props from the person I blocked at the end of the game,  and props from my black team mates... loved it... Ballin outta control NYC.... okay not quite but still great.

  

Lady Liberty - Some call her magnificent I call her, really hard to get to.... After taking two plus hours to get to Liberty Island, she still manages to take your breathe away... Awesome NYC sight... I wouldn't do it again though..

   

Times Square - At night, Kills it!! You stand there in awe of the power that is ADVERTISING...Totally mind boggling how this is allowed... None the less it's of the nutta... Pica what???? Sorry English peoples Piccadilly's got nothin on this beast :-)
